The National Game.—The game of Base Ball is fast taking hold of the attention of our young men, and in different cities we perceive new organizations constantly springing up. It is one of the most exhilarating of our field sports, and cannot fail eventually to become extremely popular everywhere. A visit to the Elysian Fields, at Hoboken, any fine day, will convince those disposed to find fault with our sports and pastimes that they err in their judgment, and that ouryoung men rapidly improve in a moral as well as physical point of view by particpating in such manly games as Base Ball and Cricket. Let the good work go on.
