NEW PUBLICATION. Work on Base Ball.—The publishing firm of Mssrs. Beadle, of 137 William street, have just issued, in their dime series, a neat pamphlet of some 50 pages, entitled “Beadle's Dime Base Ball Player.” Although small, it has a table of contents which must prove of great value and interest to the base ball fraternity. Its remarks upon the duties of players in their various positions, are excellent. Its list of the officers and delegates of the National Association, rules of the New York and Massachusets games, &c., &c., must earn a hearty welcome for it from all who are interested in the pastime. Its author, Mr. Chadwick, has had much experience upon the subject of which he writes, and writes with an enthusiastic partiality for the game.
