Team Name

The Champion City Reaper Base Ball Club

Team Location

Springfield, Ohio

Year Established

2003

The Chapion City Reapers were established in 2003 as a support group for the National Trail Parks and Recreation District, to provide historic re-enactments of 1860's base ball games at the Peckuwe Village Battlesite, which they manage. The team name represents the heritage of the community as Springfield was known as the "Champion City" and one of the first major industries was farm machinery and the famous Champion Company's Reaper. Team colors are orange and tan, the color of that first Reaper.
