2000 Mansfield Club prior to May matches v. Providence Grays.  Games v. the Grays were played using 1872 and 1884 rules (hence the equipment)

The original Masfields were formed in 1866 and were composed largely
of employees of the Douglas Pump company.  The current Mansfield vintage base ball nine began in 1996.  They have showed steady improvement each year and posted a 12-5 record in 2000.  The nine is outfitted in finely made uniforms which feature white knickers, blue and white checked shirts, dark blue stockings, and red bow ties.  This uniform largely recreates the Mansfields' uniform of 1870.  This season, the Mansfields plan to participate in the Hartford Vintage Base Ball Invitational, the Old Bethpage Tournament, and the Rhode Island Cup.
